The photographs illustrate various aspects of the automated tufting machine used to automate the production of cut and loop pile fabrics for carpet, area rug, wall hangings, bath mats and toilet seat covers. A wide range of yarns and fibres can be used including wool, wool blends, cotton and acrylics. The production of bath mats is a new application of this technology and enables much more efficient and flexible manufacturing than can be achieved by conventional tufting equipment. In particular the production of acrylic bath mats can be very efficient and produce a very high quality of product. |
